After installation of Windows XP on Asus EEE there will be bunch of problems. But, with this collection of drivers and utilities XP will work just great. Do not forget to install them in appropriate way as listed below:

On many sites is already described how to install MS Windows XP on new Asus mini laptop. There is something to straight out:

• in BIOS change option OS Installed to START, before any further steps

• after first reboot, while half of Windows is installed press ESC key on booting and choose your USB Memory stick as boot device

• then choose first option (continue with installation of Windows XP) If you do not follow these steps you will get “hal.dll” missing.

also, in BIOS choose option to display boot information on screen.
